Playing at the Park

Matt's mom and Jack came up for a visit so I could take some one year pictures of him. We took the kids out to lunch and then to the park to play. They had so much fun. Jack Exploring the Merry-go-round.

The first thing Owen does when ever we get to a park is run to the swings. He love it and stays in it almost the whole time we are there.

My pretty Bailee.

SHE'S HERE!!!

We picked up Chantelle at the airport late last night. Her flight came in a few minutes early so I am glad that we got there a half hour before her flight was scheduled. I made this sign to make it easier for her to find us.
Mom/Gramma waiting for her to arrive. My mom got her some lotion since she was coming to the dry climate from a humid one and an Idaho T-shirt.

Chantelle told me that she loves potatoes, so I got her this Idaho potato cookbook. I has recipes for every thing from french fries to potato chocolate cake.

Chantelle seeing us for the first time with our sign.

Chantelle with her Idaho shirt and sign while she talked to her mom on the phone letting her know that she had found us. We are excited to have her here with us and hope that her mom doesn't worry about her too much. We will take good care of her.

A Visit from Jeff

Friday morning we received a call from Matt's friend Jeff that he was coming in town for the evening . He wanted to see us so we met for a late dinner at Tony Roma's. We had a nice visit with Jeff and Bailee took to him once she warmed up. She started out with some light flirting and ended up sharing his pasta and coloring with him. She was sad that he had to go. We had a great time with Jeff and were glad that he called.

Soccer Game

On the 10th my sister, Diane, and her husband came to Boise for their son, Treven's soccer tournament. We were able to go and watch one of his games. Despite the wind we had a good time visiting and watching the game. Owen was a very happy boy at the game.

Un-Birthday Party

A few weeks ago Matt's mom brought Bailee some birthday candles from her friend Julie. We were having strawberry shortcake so we decided to light one for Bailee to blow out just for fun. Bailee thought that it was her birthday and told us that it was over and over. No matter how many times we told her that it wasn't her birthday she still thought that it was. Bailee set the table so we all ate on little kid plates. It was a fun little Un-Birthday for us all.

I am the lamest friend ever!

Ok, so at what point in life do you become the lamest friend ever? I think that it happened when I got married at 18 and most of my friends stayed single. One of my best friends and my maid of honor, Amy, came to town from Tennessee this week and when she called to see if we could get together the only time I had available was when I was going grocery shopping and then to my house for lunch and nap time. HOW LAME IS THAT!?
Lucky for me, Amy is one of the awesomest friends and was totally happy going grocery shopping with me and the kiddos. It was so great to see her again! And she is moving back in two months! Yeah! I can't wait!

Blessing Day

What a special day we had on Sunday. Owen was blessed in sacrament meeting by Matt. Matt's Dad, our brother-in-law Kelly, Matt's Uncle Darrin, and Our Bishop all stood in on this special event. The spirit was felt as Owen was blessed. I feel so fortunate to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day Saints, it is such a blessing to have the priesthood in our lives.

Owen's Baby Shower

My awesome friend Krista gave me a baby shower. We had so much fun. But that is not hard to do when you have such great friends and family, and a bunch of women at that! Krista made some yummy food and we had wonderful conversation to go with it. My friend, Anna, did "the ring test" on several of the guests to see what the future holds for them as far as children go. It was so much fun just being silly girls. Of course Owen was OO'd and Aw'd at and passed around too.

Owen meets another Aunt

This weekend Matt's sister, Stephanie, and his mom came to visit. Steph hadn't been here yet since Owen was born and was so anxious so see him. They were only here for a little while, but we had fun while they were here. Bailee of course tried to be the center of attention for most of the time they were here. We were able to visit, scrapbook, cook, and even run a few errands. It was a busy day.

Sisters are the Best!

My sister, Karin, came to visit for a few days from Arizona. She just couldn't bare not seeing Owen until July when she will come again. We had so much fun together. We played games, visited with our Grandma, added her to the world of blogging. We also did some digital scrapbooking for an anouncement for my nephew's priesthood ordination in a few weeks. And of course we did what sisters do best...lots of talking.

Karin is such a great Aunt, she even let Bailee sleep in the room with her. One night we let Bailee have a little too much sugar before bed time and she kept Karin up until 10:30 or 11:00 p.m. Poor Karin. Bailee sure thinks the world of Karin, when she saw these pictures she said "Oh, its beautiful!" I know Karin won over her heart when she was so willing to play Playdough with her, and even more than once.

I am so lucky to have such great sisters. I wish that we all lived closer to each other so we didn't have to try and cram everything into just a few days. We just don't get to see each other often enough.

Thanks for coming Karin, we all had so much fun! I am so glad that Owen finally got meet one of his Aunts.

A visit from Maama

Matt's mom ("Maama" as she is called around our house) came for a couple of days this week. She says that she was having withdrawals, but who wouldn't when you have grandkids this cute! It was so nice having her here. Bailee loves to play and go shopping with her. Shopping is a lot more fun when you go with some one who enjoys it. ( I am not the biggest fan... get in and get out as fast as we can is how Matt and I like it)

It was so great, I was able to get out and run some errands without the kiddos. I am still so paranoid about taking Owen out in this nasty weather and around all of the people that are sick. She is such a big help when she comes.

Thanks for coming Mom! Even if you think it was for your own selfish reasons, your visit was appreciated.
